The Jotunn Star on Totenreich is the sort of weapon that makes you earn it. You won't pull it from the Mystery Box, and you won't trip over it while opening doors. It's locked behind a proper Zombies quest, so if you're warming up in a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby or running with friends, get your route planned before the rounds start climbing. The good news is that the steps make sense once you've seen them. The bad news is that one missed jump or one messy lockdown can waste a fair bit of time.
Your first real stop is the Dry Dock, and you'll want to get into the control room as soon as the area is safe. Hit the crane controls and watch for the metal platform to drop. That part is simple. The awkward bit is the wall-jump from the moving container. Don't rush it. A lot of players sprint too early, clip the edge, and fall short of the ship's tip. Wait for the container to line up, jump clean, and keep your camera steady. At the far end, you'll pick up the Chain Links, which basically switch the whole quest from “maybe later” to “right, we're doing this now.
With the Chain Links sorted, the map sends you into a scavenger phase. It's not random wandering, though it can feel that way if you're fighting through thick rounds. Check around Storm Bridge for the Chili Chunks, then focus on getting the Lantern. The Lantern is usually the part that catches people out, because it tends to sit behind a tougher enemy event or a special-round trigger. Don't go in half-ready. Grab Jug, keep ammo topped up, and don't be shy about using equipment. Losing armor here because you wanted to save a grenade is the kind of thing that gets a run killed.
Once you've got the required items, head for the sealed shrine in the Burial Grounds. Place the Lantern on the altar and be ready right away. The room locks down, and there's not much space to show off. You need to move in tight circles, clear lanes, and avoid getting pinned near the walls. After the waves stop, the mood changes. The constellation puzzle appears, and it's a nice breather if your team actually communicates. Match the symbols carefully rather than guessing. When it clicks, Astrid appears, and that's your sign that the quest has moved into its last stretch.
The escort section is where good teams separate from noisy ones. Astrid won't sprint off without you, but she does need room to keep moving, so don't let zombies pile up around her path. One player should watch the rear, another should clear ahead, and someone needs to call out specials before they crash into the group. If you're solo, keep turning back for quick checks. It's slower, but it's safer. The route pushes you through several zones before pointing you toward the Lighthouse, and by then you'll probably feel the pressure building.
At the top of the Lighthouse, finish the ritual and take the Jotunn Star. It hits like a proper mythic melee weapon, not a novelty side tool, and Pack-a-Punch turns it into something you can lean on deep into a run. Players who test routes, practise movement, or even buy CoD BO7 Bot Lobby access for easier repetition will still need to learn the timing, because the quest rewards clean play more than brute force. Once it's in your hands, though, the whole grind feels worth it.
